The brief was simple and beckoned massive responsibility from the gravitybureau™ team. We were asked to revive a brand that has lived under the surface; and in a world of customer apathy. To make the brand relevant to the masses; specifically utilising social media marketing channels; including; Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Google Ad Network with dynamic content.
We designed an 18-month advertising strategy titled “Share the Love” for Nando’s New Zealand. Our first campaign was “Say Hello”. The media plan included a complete social media content plan; and an option to extend into the TVNZ Demand market and outdoor. The goals of the campaign were to inaugurate a Facebook audience, open the doors to customer interactivity and begin the brand narrative driven by highly-stylised design & commercial content.
The “Say Hello” advertising campaign was a success across every media channel engaged; including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Digital Advertising, TVNZ on Demand, Outdoor and In-Restaurant. The campaign aggregated over 20,000 new, unique Facebook fans, the digital advertising campaign resulted in more than 40,000 of the commercial content; additionally we discovered a completely new level of brand engagement by the customers - both online and in-restaurant. The campaign was truly an amazing beginning for the Nando’s brands; and we are pleased and excited to launch the next Nando’s advertising campaign.
